In the beautiful mountainous Java Island lies 98.42% of Indonesia’s dairy cow population. They are mainly smallholder farmers encountering socioeconomic issues on a daily basis. The industry runs with social entrepreneurship patterns in the form of cooperatives. This book provides the conception of social entrepreneurship and sociopreneurial behaviour from multiple angles and explains in a simple way based on the interaction with cooperative leaders who possess a strong will to create a socially innovative solution for the benefit of their community. Understanding their motive for social actions and their impact on society will provide concrete evidence to be used as a reference for those involved in social business activities.
